🚗 To reduce the 27 traffic fatalities so far this year, Mayor Mike Johnston is launching a pilot “SPEED” program with more cameras, more signs, and more tickets on Federal Ave (52nd Ave to Floyd Ave) and Alameda Ave (Sheridan Blvd to Havana St).

💰 Skyline Park in downtown Denver is set for a $1M upgrade to become a year-round destination with a flexible plaza, ice rink, and food concessions, funded by a grant from Great Outdoors Colorado and the Elevate Denver Bond Program.

🗳 This fall, Denver voters will decide on a .34% sales tax increase (3.4 cents on $10) to fund Denver Health. Yesterday, the City Council voted 12-1 to place it on the November ballot; Mayor Mike Johnston's signature is pending.

⚖️ Governor Polis appointed Trisha Oeth to the Colorado Energy & Carbon Management Commission; Jeff Robbins and John Messner were reappointed.

🚨 Hundreds of bills were passed and signed into law during the 2024 Colorado legislative session, and over a dozen of these will go into effect on July 1. The new laws range from a ban on residential occupancy limits to a ban on carrying guns in certain areas:
