🏈 Broncos’ open practices are back! The training camp will feature 16 open practices, including a joint session with the Green Bay Packers. Held at the newly named Broncos Park Powered by CommonSpirit, practices begin at 10 AM. Free mobile tickets are required and available on Ticketmaster today at 10 AM. Here are the dates:

🆘 Starting today, Denver's non-emergency callers will chat with a savvy automated operator instead of a human, streamlining assistance for nearly a million yearly calls while still keeping 911 calls human-handled.

👩🏻‍🚒 Denver voters may soon decide if the city should allow non-citizens with valid work authorization or legal residency to apply for police and fire department jobs. The City Council’s Finance and Governance Committee has moved the potential ballot measure forward, and a full council vote is set for July 15th, to address understaffing challenges.

🛍 The Downtown Denver Partnership celebrated the reopening of the newly revamped 16th Street Mall, complete with a Beehive playscape and 50% more tree shade, despite ongoing construction. Blue Agave's owner predicts a 25% business boost from expanded patio dining, while Rock Bottom Restaurant eagerly awaits its own block's revival.

🦟 Arapahoe County, Colorado just reported the very first human case of West Nile virus for 2024, kicking off the season earlier than expected. Last year was intense with Colorado seeing 634 cases and 51 tragic deaths, the highest since 2003. Stay vigilant and protect yourself:

👽 Have you seen the mysterious monolith that popped up in Bellvue, Colorado? Some suspect it’s a prank, but no one knows for sure. Lori Graves, owner of the nearby Howling Cow Cafe, is excited by the surge of visitors, but despite owning the land, she’s as baffled as anyone else. This isn't the first monolith to appear; remember the one in Las Vegas removed by police during the 2020 global monolith phenomenon? Interestingly, the Colorado monolith is rectangular, unlike the triangular ones seen before.
