🗳 Colorado's 2024 primary election took place yesterday, where voters selected Democratic and Republican candidates for various positions, including the U.S. House of Representatives, University of Colorado Board of Regents, Colorado state legislature, and local races across the state. Here are the key results from the votes that were contested:

  • Lauren Boebert (R) wins U.S. House District 4 Primary GOP

  • Greg Lopez (R) wins U.S. House District 4 Special Election

  • Jeff Hurd (R) wins U.S. House District 3 Primary GOP

  • Jeff Crank (R) wins U.S. House District 5 Primary GOP

  • Gabe Evans (R) wins U.S. House District 8 Primary GOP

  • Cecelia Espenoza (D) wins State House District 4 Primary Dem

  • Sean Camacho (D) wins State House District 6 Primary Dem

  • John Walsh (D) wins District Attorney - 2nd Judicial District

🏀 Since Kenn Solomon hung up his Rocky suit, Denver Nugget’s famous mascot has lost some of its magic. Now, the Nuggets are on the prowl for a new performer who can bring the mountain lion's antics back to life, offering $70K-$130K to anyone who can master Rocky's legendary half-court shot and keep the crowd roaring!

🚷 Denver property owners will start paying fees for sidewalk repairs in January 2025 after the City Council postponed the fees for a second time. The new fee structure, set to be more equitable, awaits final approval from Mayor Mike Johnston.

📚 Colorado has become the first state to offer justice-engaged youth a "bill of rights" to ensure youth can complete their education, removing barriers to finishing school. The new law aims to provide support for nearly 6,500 youth who enter the justice system annually.
